morning lows and highs

lows:

up this morning at 5:30 with the boys. momma grouchy...very grouchy

highs:

coffee...starbucks coffee...lots of coffee

bike ride to the market with my daddy...felt like a little girl again...even with the sleep deprivation

cookie factory in the kitchen

same boys that woke me up at 5:30 licking "batter stirwers" in the words of g. smacking lips and smiles

the prospect of a nap for all this afternoon

would you look at how cute this little topiary is. one of my mid-west besties made this with her little girls. i thought it was super cute. wouldn't your little ones just love to make this?

kitchen light

we have had these pendant lights for over a year and finally wrapped our brains around the right application for them (after a trip to our local pottery barn) ...the dilemma has always been that one of the lights was going to need to drop right out of the middle of the skylight, which was really not an option.
the ladder (that was free) is a perfect solution for function and a little touch of detail. have a wonderful day.
