well i have a few friends that have a baking day once a week. i have another friend who has a cooking day once a week, so i decided i should at least try a baking afternoon. today and last monday i have spent the afternoon baking and i have so much to show for it. last week i made 4 loaves of bread and 2 batches of cinnamon rolls. i froze 3 loaves of the bread and one batch of the cinnamon rolls. today i made a triple batch of chocolate chip cookies and froze 3 tubes of dough. on a raining day, or a sunny one, whenever the mood strikes i will pull one of those suckers out, slice it up and wha-la...cookies with no effort, yet homemade.
the beauty of the cooking day is making double and triple batches. it hardly takes any extra effort and the time that it saves in the long run is so helpful. today i pulled out one of the loaves of bread that i froze last week, let is rise and popped it in the oven while i made the cookie dough. perfect for lunches tomorrow. i think i have found a monday tradition.
~type to you soon~

hi Le!
I would love to know the recipe you used for cinnamon rolls---that would be a big hit in our house, thanks!
What a great idea! Whenever I become a stay at home momma, I will definitely be using this idea! :)
