i recovered this at the beginning of the school year in a lovely oil cloth...thought you might like it:) my "antique" friend suggested i add the H, and no she is not old...just my sweet friend who loves antiques as much as i do. i think it was a great idea!

the blue wall is a lovely restoration hardware-pottery barn shade of blue with some green and gray tones. i really like it. it is one of the few blues that i have found that does not look "baby blue" it is babbling brook at lowes.

we moved this glass piece of wall art to this wall because eventually there will be moldings on the wall behind the bed. and that pillow on the bed that near matches the blue wall perfectly was free from an elderly friend.

do you see the other candle holder...the match is in the bathroom

we are really enjoying our new room...it is amazing what a can of paint can do...

here is the after...the faucets on the sinks still have to be painted...yes you heard me right...painted. rustoleum has this amazing paint out called oiled bronze and it has a trigger spray and man does it look real.

replaced the towel bars with hooks

moved the towel caddy to a more functional space and doubles for tp storagecorner decor

recognize the mason jar...i think that idea was in better homes and gardens

painted that candle holder it was a free find in a garage giveaway. it was a REALLY ugly maple finish. you will see the other one tomorrow in the bedroom reveal.

more brass painted bronze

my man added a transom window above the bedroom door. this is a teaser for tomorrow. hope you like it...i sure do!

rest your rear hear

i found these stools at the thrift store yesterday.

they both looked like the one on the right.

you know...hunter green bottom with that lovely light colored wood seat.

for some it may work...not so much for me.

the picture above is after the stools were sanded and one was already finished and then i remembered..."the before and after" picture. at least i remembered before it was all done.

seat on the left sanded down, roughed up with a screw driver and a mallet, and then stained with a walnut stain (several coats). it looks really good in person.

i am not sure the pictures do it justice.

here are both stools finished and waiting for a couple more friend stools. i am looking for 2
or 3 more. i also plan on numbering the top of the seats once we have all that
we are going to put in the space.

this was a very nice memo board before but our son had requested something to put pictures and things that he needed to remember for his room. i tea stained the fabric by making a strong rue of tea and brushing it on. then i just used ribbon scraps that i already had. it was a fun, relatively free ($2 for the board) project.

i have been having fits with yahoo mail this week and still am. if you are receiving emails from me that are spam please accept my sincerest apologies. the problem lies with yahoo and not with our personal computers. i have changed my email account and i am currently trying to delete the yahoo account so it will stop the spam. however, i have not had any success in deleting the account yet. please delete my old email from your contacts and replace it with my new address domesticchick@insightbb.com. so sorry for any trouble that this has caused.

slight correction

the rebate for the monitor can only be redeemed for the amount that you spent. so 14.99 is a little different than 55.00. but still a free $15 bucks.

1. i am trying to find a way for all of us to benefit from each others coupon clipping. if there is a certain brand that you use all the time or your children need please comment to this post and i will list it. i will be the "catch all" for the coupons and redistribute them to the people who use the brands. please try to help out the coupon community by watching for the brands that are listed to the side as we know how they can save some serious money. also if you see a particular coupon in the paper on a certain week that you would like to have more of, comment on the most recent post and i will add it to the list.

2. i removed some of the sites from coupon corner because i did not think that they were that user friendly and not beneficial. i did add a few more and i will continue to look for ones that are super coupon sites.

3. i am going to add the cottonelle toliet paper link to the side bar under coupon corner for the free toliet paper.

4. lexington gals feel free to comment on the brands that you need as well. i will label them with a (lex) behind the brand and maybe shannon can be the catch all for you. or if another of you would like to be the catch all that would be great. sunday would be a great time to switch at church.
