from plain to pretty

these cute little leggings and skirt came from the lands end clearance at sears for pennies.

the shirts were not available in her size so when i i came across these plain little numbers at walmart (organic too) for $1 i snatched up all the colors available. yesterday was embellishment day. i added the name and the ribbon and button accessories to the shirts and what a difference. any of these styles or your own design will be available for purchase at the suburban cottage(my etsy store) later today.

sorry the color on this one is bad. it is really the pink below.

the yellow flower on the shirt matches the polka dots on the leggings.




I might have to make myself one of these.

FYI this week

the sale: i need to know who is coming to sell and who is coming to browse and buy:). if you do not mind letting me know that would be great! i know that so far i have gymboree clothes, some other kids things, maybe some houseware items, very reduced mary kay items, and i am waiting to hear about anything else. let me know.sewing class: i have had a few people express that thursday would be better for them and i really think that doing the sale and sewing might be too much in one evening. so i am going to make the decision that sewing is on thursday. same time, same place. let me know if you can come. this week is all about reading a pattern. don't forget to stop and pick one up. simplicity is a good brand to start with.

sale at the house

i am planning on having a "private" garage sale for any friends and friends of friends that want to come on wednesday, june 3. a few of my friends are going to bring things as well. if you would like to bring some items just let me know. any items that do not sell, i am going to sell in a garage sale on the friday the 5th. i will advertise for the yard sale so if you want to keep your things here and sell them with me, feel free. i have all kinds of gymboree clothes to sell and other child products, a few household items, and i am sure more just cant list it all. i also have a friend who sells mary kay and is getting rid of her inventory. she is selling all things 50 % off and i am going to ask her to sell as well. might be a good opportunity to pick up some cheap makeup. let me know if you would like to come or if you would like to participate. i am also open to the participants of the sale swapping items if both parties are agreeable.
